Thallus off-white, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata numerous, black, thin, immersed, straight, curved or sinuous, occasionally branched, 1–3 (–4) mm long, c. 0.1 mm wide; lips usually remaining closed, sometimes opening slightly. Proper exciple laterally carbonised. Hymenium 60–100 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, biseriate, submuriform to muriform, 5–6 × 2 (–3)-locular, occasionally only partly muriform, 19–24 (–28) × 7–9 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |

A widely distributed, corticolous species in northern N.T., eastern Qld and eastern N.S.W.; also in the Cook Islands, South Pacific Ocean. | ||
